River

River is my new horse.  He is a rescue from the Nebraska Humane Society.  This is the first picture I saw of him.  His coloring is the same chocolate that Jordan has and he is gaited with a running walk.  We think he is a Spotted Mountain Horse.  But we don't and won't know.  He was found wandering around the countyside near Omaha with a few other horses.  He is about 14.2hh and 6 years old.

Brought him home around March 20th.  I had to quickly put up a paddock for him, but he seems to be settling in.

On May 1st, he will be going to Mountain Rose Horsemanship Training for a month.  He received a wonderful start at the NE HS but needs a little more training, especially a "whoa" :-)
